And suddenly, it’s fall. The boat is hauled. Wood is stacked. The days are shorter. And the landscape explodes in living color.

For the last three years, we have organized a daffodil sale to benefit the Blue Hill Tree of Life Food Pantry. Last year when the proceeds were tallied, everyone’s generosity resulted in a total of $2,500.00!
Without the benefit of hindsight and the wisdom it provides, we’re not very well prepared to meet the challenges of the future are we? After all, a little help from the past is a good thing.

As our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving, I am reminded of the words of Noel Paul Stookey. I can think of no better way to express the need to be mindful of the many gifts in our lives and the need to extend a helping hand.

The big news in our life is that David and I are buying a piece of property in Surry, Maine where we will build a log home in the middle of the woods! Excited much?
Last Saturday, on a glorious fall day in Blue Hill, Maine, we participated in the wedding of good friends. All weddings are beautiful. But this one was in a class by itself.
