In These Times

Greetings from the coast of Maine,

As our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving, I am reminded of the words of Noel Paul Stookey. I can think of no better way to express the need to be mindful of the many gifts in our lives and the need to extend a helping hand.

“In these times
We must be mindful of the gift
In these times
Use our hands and hearts to lift
The fallen spirit in this land
Planting flowers in the sand
Reaching out a helping hand
In these times.”
