Making Merry!

Greetings from the coast of Maine,

Beginning in 1986, when I opened my first shop in the little pink house in Cincinnati, I’ve had a Christmas Open House to herald the arrival of the holiday season. That first one was memorable. At precisely 5:00 PM, as the first guests arrived, the power went out. What to do? Light candles, of course. Very romantic!

This would normally be the week of our Christmas Open House. So it feels a little funny not to be having it this year. But COVID has affected all of us. And accordingly, we’re limiting customers to just three at a time.

Not having an Open House is a small price to pay. We may not have Mary’s cookies, or a large gathering of friends, but we can still look festive!

Since many of us aren’t getting out and about as a precautionary measure, shopping with us online is the perfect alternative.
